New Year! New you?

This time of year there are so many of us that want to change some things about our lives. Maybe a lot of things for some of you.

The problem is that we tend to go about trying to change ourselves too much.  We can always grow and improve but we can not be somebody else.

So, don’t try to change yourself but do take action to get more of the positive things you desire.

Also, don’t focus on losing weight or anything else you don’t like.  Think about it.  If you lose something what do you do?
Yes, go looking for it to get it back!

Instead of trying to lose something, start releasing or letting go of the things, habits, and beliefs that result in having what you want to lose.
Even better, start having more of the positive things and situations that create the situation you like.
Go for a daily walk (or something similar depending on your current physical condition) to help relieve depression and stress which may be the main cause of the unproductive habit that creates what you don’t like.

Look at principles and core beliefs of what’s happening in your life.
Give thanks for the lessons you have learned.
Show gratitude for the positive things that you do and that happen to you each day.
Embrace who you are. Have a healthy love for yourself and others.

Now, focus on 1 or 2 beliefs/actions that you will do more of this month.  Then expand on them or new ones as you get good at the first ones.  Keep going and don’t get discouraged.  You can live your purpose and achieve great things.  Just do it step by step.  Even small steps.  You probably didn’t get where you are today in one day.  Don’t expect to get where you want to be in one day.
However, some things can happen very quickly.  Don’t judge the situation too much.

Look at what’s working and what isn’t.  Do more of what works or will make it work better.  Find out how other people have done it. (Don’t reinvent the wheel when it’s not necessary)

Especially look at the positive side of what you are good at and what you are passionate about.

Take action daily to live your life purposefully doing things that are beneficial to others and that you deeply enjoy.

Happy New Year!
